MCRGO-PAC has intensely debated how best to characterize each candidate with regard to where they stand on our issues. Neither was previously endorsed so determination rested solely on public statements, performance and, of course, their own written responses to MCRGO's detailed questionnaire.
As Governor, Jennifer Granholm has signed every firearms bill placed on her desk. MCRGO has noticed and, on behalf of Michigan's gunowners, thanks her for her support. However, she continues to oppose 'Secretary of State Issue'; MCRGO's #1 cause.
Challenger Dick DeVos has--without exception--spoken in support of pro-firearm legislation. His written answers to MCRGO's own Candidate Questionnaire landed him a top score. However, he lacks the public and verifiable track record of support that only a stint in public office could provide.
MCRGO-PAC therefore chooses to limit its role to a presentation of these facts for purposes of your consideration, and the assignment of a 'letter grade' to each in lieu of endorsement:
